Gedling Borough Council (GBC) is a local authority to the northeast of Nottingham.
The Borough covers the northeasterly suburbs of Nottingham, including Arnold, Gedling and Carlton as well as the villages of Bestwood Village, Newstead, Ravenshead, Papplewick, Netherfield, Woodborough, Burton Joyce and everything inbetween! A map of the Borough can be downloaded here.
Some of our biggest employment areas are Colwick Industrial Estate and Victoria Retail Park, with others in Arnold and in many of the villages.
The Council itself owns and manages a number of mainly small business units and is keen to expand its range and offering over the coming years.
The Councils Economic Development Team is small but eager to assist existing local businesses or those moving into the area. The team is able to signpost businesses to services provided by partners, such as the Gedling Business Partnership, as well as the Local Enterprise Partnership (LINK), Environmental Health, Planning and Business Rates.
The team are here to help and welcome any enquiries. We are keen to engage with businesses and understand your needs better. We have a programme of engagement for grow businesses and those larger businesses that call Gedling their home.
